The official Outlander Instagram account has shared a funny video of the cast's impressions of Scots star Sam Heughan's character Jamie Fraser.It's not long now until Droughtlander is over and the show is back on our screens as season seven is set to air on June 16 with an extra long first episode.So ahead of its return, Starz shared the hilarious clip which includes John Bell, Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Richard Rankin and other fan favourites.
The cast attempt to do their best Scottish accent and copy Jamie Fraser's iconic way of saying 'Sassenach' - with some failing miserably.In the clip, Sam jokes: "You can't just say Sassenach. I am a classically trained actor. It comes from the core. Something Shakespearean about it as well.Caitriona, who plays Claire Fraser in the show, quips: "I don't think I can do an impression of Sassenach, because I am the Sassenach.Sam adds: "It takes many years, you can't just say Sassenach.The clip comes ahead of the long-awaited seventh season of the time-travelling drama.The new season will officially premiere on June 16 and the second half airing in 2024 makers Starz announced on Thursday, March 23.
In a social media post a STARZ spokesperson wrote: "Summer on Fraser's Ridge sounds lovely, don't you think? That's why I'm excited to announce that #Outlander Season 7 officially premieres JUNE 16!"This year the schedule will be switched up. The iconic time-travelling saga, starring Sam Heughan and Caitrona Balfe as romantic leads James and Claire Fraser, will see episodes air on Fridays this time.And the episode will still be available at midnight Eastern Time on the app before it airs on the STARZ Channel at 8PM ET/PT" the channel confirmed to eager fans.
