"The series continues to evolve and grow its audience.David Boreanaz's Jason Hayes and his navy troops are sticking around for at least another season of SEAL Team.
Yes that's right, streaming service Paramount+ has renewed the military drama for a seventh season (via TVLine), which goes some way to numbing the pain of Clay Spenser's (played by Max Thieriot) brutal season 6 demise."We look forward to bringing SEAL Team fans even more of the series' poignant storylines and thrilling missions with the upcoming seventh season," said Paramount Streaming's chief programming officer Tanya Giles in a statement.
"The series continues to evolve and grow its audience. It is a great example of the types of programming that we see resonate with our subscribers."
Earlier this month, Giles informed the same publication that the streamer was "not quite" ready to announce SEAL Team's return, despite it being "one of those shows that had that successful move from broadcast to streaming".
Elsewhere in the world of TV renewals, Starz crime drama BMF is officially coming back for a third season – picking up where we left off with Big Meech and Southwest T.
"BMF captures the essence of Detroit through elevated, gritty storytelling and our fans have passionately responded to this show more than ever before," commented Kathryn Busby, president of original programming at the network.
"Following such a strong debut with season 2, we're thrilled to continue to expand on the incredible story of the Flenory brothers as they change the game by writing their own rules. We can't wait to see what our extraordinary producers and cast deliver next.
