During The Umbrella Academy, the time he spent on the moon, he developed loneliness and depression. When he returned for his father funeral,Luther realized that his father had never read his reports, and he understood that this meant Sir Reginald just wanted him out of the way .Because of the time he spent on the moon, coupled with his grotesque appearance, he felt isolated in The Umbrella Academy . His absurd size and his inability to do some things only served to make him withdraw even more however, his relationship with his sister Allison gave him pleasant moments, although she could not fully relate to him.
He longed for her and then felt rejected. He went through several rejections from his brothers. Tom Hopper, the actor who plays Luther did a very good job playing the character angst several times with just a facial expression, having a subtlety that would easily go unnoticed.
