CBS’s hit drama The Equalizer is coming back with its 3rd season in October this year. Queen Latifa, who plays the protagonist ex-CIA operative Robyn McCall will be back this fall.
As the show became the no.1 scripted series on CBS on Sunday nights the creators decided to go for season 3 and season 4.Thom Sherman who is the senior executive vice president of programming at CBS said that they are thrilled to have the show back for two more seasons and credited the success of the show to the superb Queen Latifah including the exceptionally creative team who continues to evolve their story with each coming episode.The Equalizer follows the story of a woman named Robyn who is a former CIA operative and looks like a typical single mother. She has raising her daughter Delilah played by Layla DeLeon Hayes while living with her aunt Viola played by Lorraine Toussaint.
She looks like a typical single mother but in actuality she lives a double life working as an undercover who defends those who have no place else to go. The Equalizer Season 1 introduced the protagonist Robyn McCall as a former CIA agent who helps the poor and downtrodden correct their wrongs. Theres Detective Marcus Dante Tory Kittles whose only motive is to discover the identity of this unknown urban Robin Hood.The season ended with Delilah discovering what her mother actually does and it is not running an international nonprofit. The Equalizer Season 3 will come out on Sunday 2nd of Oct 2022 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
