DC fans get a glimpse of The Flash's reimagined Speed Force courtesy of a promo video for the upcoming film's next full trailer. The Flash fans get another sneak peek at the DC Universe's reimagined Speed Force.
In a promo for an upcoming trailer posted to Reddit on April 14, audiences can catch a glimpse of the brighter, red and yellow Speed Force as it has been reimagined since its last silver screen appearance in Zack Snyder's Justice League. The promo comes after another exclusive image showcasing the new Speed Force, as well as Ezra Miller's Barry Allen sporting similarly color-shifted lightning of his own.
The official synopsis for The Flash explains that Barry's "Attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he’s looking for."
While The Flash boasts a return to feature films for Michael Keaton's Batman, it will also see a reprisal of the same role for Ben Affleck. The latter Dark Knight actor said of his role in The Flash, "I did finally figure out how to play that character [Batman], and I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great." Affleck explained, "A lot of it is just tone. You’ve got to figure out, what’s your version of the person? Who is the guy that fits what you can do? I tried to fit myself into a Batman. And by the way, I like a lot of the stuff we did, especially the first one [Batman v Superman]."
Apart from the praise The Flash has received from those on the inside of the project itself, the film has garnered no small amount of attention thanks to Hollywood icon Tom Cruise, whose enthusiasm led to an exclusive early screening courtesy of Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. Reportedly, an employee of the studio brought a copy of the film to Cruise's residence following a meeting with Zaslav. Cruise is said to have stated of The Flash, "[It is] everything you want in a movie." Cruise also reportedly said that "This is the kind of movie we need now."
