'Sweet Magnolias' Fans Are Freaking Out After Learning About This Season 3 News

 Every once in a while, there's a show that captures our hearts and becomes our "comfort show." That's exactly what happened when Netflix premiered its latest Southern drama Sweet Magnolias.





The TV series first premiered in 2020 and now it's official — we're headed back to Serenity. Netflix officially announced that the hit show will be returning for a season 3. Actress Joanna Garcia Swisher, who plays Maddie Townsend, shared the exciting news with fans on Instagram with the caption, "We are back! Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias is happening! 🌸💐."Of course, with an announcement as major as this, fans flew to the comments section to tag their fellow Sweet Magnolias friends and share their thoughts:


Fellow co-stars, Brooke Elliot (Dana Sue Sullivan) and Heather Headley (Helen Decatur) also shared the news with fans on social media. All had an overwhelming response from fans ecstatic about their return.


When is the Sweet Magnolias season 3 release date?

We wish we could give you a clear answer, but Netflix has yet to share a release date. Fans can probably expect a return to Serenity in early 2023 considering season 2 was released in February 2022. Fingers crossed!


Who will be in the Sweet Magnolias cast for season 3?

As far as we know, fans can expect the entire cast to return for the upcoming season and pick right back up from where we ended in season 2. So, that means JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Maddie Townsend, Brooke Elliot as Dana Sue Sullivan and Heather Headley as Helen Decatur will definitely be on our screens.
