The Repair Shop star had reason to celebrate amid his new move away from the BBC show.Jay Blades MBE opened Jay & Co in the Kingland shopping complex on Monday selling restored furniture.And the TV star, who brings old and broken pieces of furniture and antiques back to life, is hoping his business will help revive Britain's struggling high streets.Over 100 people queued outside Jay & Co in Poole, Dorset.
The shop has 50 of Jay's restored chairs, sofas, lamps and other furniture, with pieces priced at thousands of poundsKnown for his role in BBC One restoration programme The Repair Shop, Jay has collaborated with fellow business owner Steve Wyatt of Restored Retro with his first shop.Jay told the Daily Echo: “The overall feeling of today is, if you look at how many people are here, it’s all a bit naughty.
