Two more series of Call the Midwife have been confirmed

 The twelfth series has just finished - but fans are already eagerly awaiting the next series. The heart-warming BBC One drama Call the Midwife is adored by many fans and has run for a whopping 12 series. As this twelfth series ends, with Trixie and Matthew finally getting married, viewers are keen to know when they'll be able to see the happy couple and the rest of Nonnatus House again.





It has been confirmed that Call the Midwife will be returning for two more series. Piers Wenger, Director of BBC Drama, said: “The enduring popularity of Call the Midwife is a testament to the extraordinary love and creativity from its creator Heidi Thomas and its producers Pippa Harris and Ann Tricklebank."

He added: "We are delighted to have secured the future of Call the Midwife for two further series beyond those which are currently in production, and look forward to enjoying more adventures for the inhabitants of Nonnatus House for years to come.Series 13 of Call the Midwife is expected to air in 2024, with no set airdate yet.
