It has been a year since Reacher dropped on Amazon Prime Video however it still sits in the top 10 shows on the platform. There were rumors surrounding Tom Cruises inclusion in the cast however the series brought Lee Child back as Jack Reacher to our Screens. However this time we will see Alan Ritchson in the lead role. Heres everything we know about Reacher season 2.
Amazon Prime announced the second season just three days after season one aired. However we are still awaiting a release date. According to Deadline the main man Ritchson said We are bigger and better than ever he said in a video. Ready to kick things off with a Reacher slate. This makes it official we are in. We are hoping to get a release date by summer 2023. Lets keep our fingers crossed. Reacting to Reachers quick season two renewal, Ritchson shared the following on Instagram Whoaaaaaa This is incredible. Unlike Reacher who chooses to say nothing I am simply speechless. In just our opening weekend you have made #ReacheronPrime one of @primevideos most-watched shows EVER That is insane.
There are so many people I'm grateful to for making this show as enjoyable as it is. But all of the creative genius and unwavering commitment by all those behind this would amount to nothing if you were not enjoying the world of Reacher. Thank you thank you thank you. Reacher season one centered around Jack and his search for whoever killed his brother and by the end of the season we see that the search is almost concluded. The showrunner said that we should expect a time jump in the second season and the show might not go chronologically. In an interview with Radio Times the showrunner said that they are not primarily forcing on which book they should adhere to for the next season I have not read the books. I have written them. I never reread them. I know them by reputation what other people tell me about them. And there are some that are really popular.
I think what was so great about this first season was Reachers loneliness being assuaged by his relationships with other people and I would like to see more of that. And there are two or three books that really stand out in that sense. So maybe one of them.
