Four seasons after Antonio Dawson officially left Hank Voightm is Intelligence Jon Seda playfully proposes that his character return to Chicago PD.
Jon Seda teases fans with a potential Antonio Dawson return on Chicago PD with a fun suggestion. As one of the original cast members of the One Chicago police procedural, Seda had been part of Hank Voight is Intelligence unit from the get go. Aside from his work on the police force Chicago PD also did a great job tackling his personal life until he was written out of the series in season 6. Now the show is already on season 10 but the clamor to see Dawson back in the Windy City persists.
Addressing the continued interest from fans for his potential Chicago PD return, Seda takes to his official Twitter to suggest a potential way for him to return. The actor is currently starring in La Brea as Dr. Sam Velez another NBC show in which the characters deal with the mysterious appearance of a massive sinkhole. Using this premise, he suggests that perhaps a portal can be used to transport him back to Chicago. Check the actor is full tweet below
For context there was no clear reason given as to why Seda exited Chicago PD. In any case One Chicago is known to regularly make character shuffles depending on how the shows stories are going. That may have contributed to Dawson being written out of the series. The decision reportedly stemmed from the feeling that the character had run its course. Seda has not directly commented on the matter which makes it more difficult to guess what really led to his departure but based on his past comments and his recent social media post he does not hold any grudge over what happened.
