Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Canon Ending Gives Buffy a Surprising Job

 Buffy is Season 12 gives the show its canon ending with a wholesome sendoff to Buffy Summers by giving the Slayer a perfect but unexpected job.





Season 12 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer canonically ends the beloved series by giving Buffy a surprising job. After saving the world once again Buffy and Faith enroll in the police academy and start training to join an upcoming Supernatural Division of law enforcement.


After the conclusion of the TV show with Season 7 the adventures of Buffy and the Scooby Gang continued in a series of comic books published by Dark Horse. Seasons 8 to 12 are considered canon for the show because they were either written or supervised by Buffy creator Joss When don. Season 12 was explicitly written by When don to conclude the story he began in 1997 and it gives the Slayer and her crew a perfect sendoff. While the adventures of Buffy continued in the comics after that, they are now set in alternate realities in the multiverse called Slayerverse



 so Season 12 remains the only canon ending to the original series .In Season 12 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer the heroes have to face a threat from a future timeline that Buffy had previously visited in Season 8. Harth the vampire brother of Fray the Slayer of the 23rd century has gained the knowledge of every Slayer of the past and uses this to travel back in time and lay a trap for Buffy and the other heroes in order to steal the power of every Slayer in the world for himself. Buffy and her gang have to fight Harth and an army of demons while trying to change their futures. In the end the heroes prevail against the forces of evil. Buffy and Faith are seen coming out from the police academy wearing their new uniforms after deciding to get official police training in order to lead a new Supernatural Division that the government is building.
