Thor: Love And Thunder Features a Brief Shot That Spoiled the Entire Film

Thor Love and Thunder used its humor to help push the narrative forward. However one joke nearly unraveled the entire movie.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many genres have been used to tell the stories of its heroes and villains. For example a heist film showcased why Scott Lang would be perfect to be Ant Man while Eternals had a mythic approach to its storytelling that felt more biblical than action packed. These inspirations set a tone that better complemented the heroes present and helped make them distinct from one another. And Thor Love and Thunder leaned heavily into this concept by being a comedy and romance rolled into an action movie.

The film focused on Thor and Jane Foster forming a team to save kidnapped Asgardian children from Gorr the God Butcher. The plot itself was simple but was deceptively complex as it forced Thor to tackle ideas of mortality love and acceptance of what was lost. However many of these themes often came with a lot of humor. And one particular foreshadowing moment framed as a joke  was discovered by Reddit user nixon0770 and could've broken the films suspension of disbelief.

Following the battle on New Asgard against Gorrs shadow creatures Thor Valkyrie Korg and Jane met with the other Asgardians as their children had just been taken hostage. Understandably  the parents were concerned and Thor one of the few named Gods to have survived Ragnarök offered a rousing speech to quiet the nerves of the scared Asgardians. However as he spoke Miek interrupted by writing on a whiteboard behind Thor.

When Thor asked Miek to stop a brief glimpse at the whiteboard appeared with a collection of doodles. At first this seemed like another clever joke showing how Miek was not paying attention. However the board also gave audiences a brief glimpse at the entire chain of events for the film, including its conclusion and Jane Fosters fate. The scene was a clever foreshadowing device and the MCUs riskiest joke yet.
