Veteran Star Wars actor Katee Sackhoff teases the endgame for Star Wars series The Mandalorian confirming plans previously hinted at by producers.
Katee Sackhoff who plays Bo Katan Kryze in live action Star Wars series The Mandalorian hints at the series endgame. One of the shows that launched with the streaming service Disney+ in November 2019 The Mandalorian is among the most popular Disney+ originals released so far. Created by Jon Favreau the series centers on Mandalorian warrior Din Djarin played by Pedro Pascal. Pascals character is primarily a bounty hunter who lives by his peoples central creed but his mission to protect the little force sensitive being called Grogu leads him into plenty of complicated situations.
The Mandalorian season 2 wrapped in late 2020 choosing to let Grogu go with Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill in order to learn more about his origins and his mysterious powers. Season 2 also saw Din earn the Darksaber in combat, putting a wrench in Bo Katan Sackhoff plans to reclaim Mandalore with the legendary weapon. Luckily fans did not have to wait until season 3 to see Din again, since the titular Mandalorian and Grogu were reunited in The Book of Boba Fett. With season 3 now fully set up the first The Mandalorian season 3 trailer was released at Disneys D23 Expo this past weekend.
Sackhoffs comments confirm there is an endgame plan previously alluded to by Pascal and Favreau in place for the Star Wars series which bodes well for the shows conclusion. With a clear trajectory set up going into The Mandalorian season 3 the only thing that might stand in the way of the series providing a well earned satisfying finale is the possibility that it would not be renewed enough to reach that ending. Fortunately the shows enthusiastic and expansive fan base will likely continue to support it and Favreau has proven his worth plenty of times in the past giving its future a solid outlook. Sackhoff's character will likely be taking on a more central role in season 3 which is expected to explore the planet of Mandalore and therefore the history and mythology of the Mandalorian people.
