LEGO Star Wars: Andor’s blandest minifigure is secretly its best

The first three episodes of Star Wars  Andor have given us all the context we need for 75338 Ambush on Ferrix  including how its blandest minifigure might secretly be its best.

A total of three characters are included in the 679-piece set, two of whom we Are plenty familiar with from Andors marketing campaign alone. Those are Cassian himself played by Diego Luna and Luthen Rael portrayed by Stellan Skarsgard. The third and final minifigure is Syril Karn a blue suited character we HAve had minimal exposure to through Andors various trailers. But thats all now changed.

In pursuit of Andor for murdering two Preox Morlana officers mid level manager Syril Karn takes it upon himself to lead a squad of 12 more security goons down to Ferrix where our hero is busy trying to sell rare Imperial parts to Luthen Rael. A firefight and chase break out as the show pays off the relatively measured build up of its first two episodes in style with Andor and Rael eventually escaping  but only after taking down a few members of Karns security forces.

Of course in going down to Ferrix in the first place, Karn has defied the orders of his superior officer  who told him to sweep the whole thing under the rug which makes the casualties he HAs suffered even more damaging. ItS a great setup for whats already shaping up to be one of Star Wars most refreshing villains in recent memory and fashions Kyle Soller character into a complex and  in some ways  relatable figure. He HAs just a guy trying to do his job properly, after all.  Even if that job is space fascism.
