Gwyneth Paltrow was slammed by Piers Morgan this week over hilariously woke posts on the website for her lifestyle brand Goop.
One Goop article called men 'penis-bearing people' while offering a tutorial on penis rings, and another referred to men as 'the people with a prostate.'Gwyneth is talking absurd virtue-signaling goop,' Piers, 57, exclaimed, according to The Sun. 'A penis-bearing person is called a MAN. And I say this with some confidence as someone who bears one.'Anne Robinson, once the hostess of The Weakest Link, quipped: 'If she can’t identify a man, she needs to be careful having her outdoor daily shower.'
She was referring to the fact that Gwyneth revealed in a recent Goop video that her luxurious morning routine includes an outdoor shower after a sauna session.Neither of the Goop articles in question has a byline, so the extent of Gwyneth's involvement in writing them is unknown.
Gwyneth's recent slating by Piers Morgan is not the first time she has been the subject of ridicule because of a peculiar turn of phrase. When she and her first husband Chris Martin split up in 2014, she inspired widespread mockery by calling their breakup 'conscious uncoupling.' Since its launch in 2008, Goop has become known for advice ranging from the idiosyncratic to the bizarre, exhorting women to steam clean their vaginas and theorizing about a 'Link Between Underwire Bras And Breast Cancer.' However the brand has been constantly expanding ever since, and two years ago it even sprouted its own Netflix series, The Goop Lab.
Gwyneth hit headlines around the world at the dawn of 2020 for releasing a $75 candle on Goop called This Smells Like My Vagina. The product, which rapidly sold out, was marketed as smelling of 'geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed.'Her vagina candle was such a runaway success that Gwyneth followed it up with another $75 candle, this one supposedly with the aroma of her orgasm.Goop lists 'tart grapefruit, neroli, and ripe cassis berries blended with gunpowder tea and Turkish rose absolute' as the components of the scent. To mark the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade this January, Gwyneth released yet another Goop candle called Hands Off My Vagina.
