The announcement of a sixth season of the series Cobra Kai has still not been made by Netflix due in particular to the overloaded agenda of its creators.
In the ranking of the most viewed series on Netflix since its launch on September 9 season 5 of Cobra Kai confirmed the immense popularity of the series derived from Karate Kid among subscribers to the platform.
However despite this success Netflix has not yet announced a sixth season on the horizon despite the actors desire to extend the programs story through new seasons and even a trilogy of movies . How to explain such a delay the platform being usually quicker to renew its popular productions? The answer was finally provided to us by Jon Hurwitz one of the creators of the series during an interview with our colleagues from Deadline . The latter has thus confirmed that a season 6 has not yet been officially confirmed but that an agreement could soon be reached between Netflix and Sony Pictures studios holders of the rights to the Karate Kid franchise.
A season 6 could not see the light of day in the near future anyway, the creators of the series currently working on Obliterated an action comedy produced by Netflix following the adventures of an elite team launched in the footsteps of a bomb after a heavily alcoholic weekend in Las Vegas. Remember that the creators of Cobra Kai will also produce a spin off series to the cult film La Folle Journée de Ferris Bueller .If it therefore seems almost certain that a season 6 of Cobra Kai will see the light of day on Netflix fans of the series will therefore have to be patient while a return to the program next year now seems more and more improbable.
